The winter is the perfect time to update your swing as well as your golf equipment. What is the point in buying a new driver or set of irons in the middle or even at the beginning of the golf season? It will take you a while to get used to the new golf kit and by that time the golf season is half over.
Make your new purchases in the winter so you have plenty of time to practice down the driving range and get used to your new purchase, whether it be a new driver, fairway wood, hybrid, or irons. When you get a new putter, or even new wedges, you can practice indoors with, keeping warm while getting used to your new golf club. Hit the ground running in 2010 by being comfortable with your golf equipment on the 1st tee as soon as the bad weather subsides by making that purchase sooner rather than later.
